Green is a gain and red a loss; stronger colour means a bigger move. Read across a row for a sector's year, or down a column for that month's leaders.
Market breadth
Whether a move is broad or narrow. A rising index with falling breadth means a few big stocks are carrying it.

Prices: Yahoo Finance via the open-source yfinance library, adjusted for dividends and splits. They may be delayed and are shown for education only. The companies are large, liquid Bursa Malaysia stocks chosen to cover each sector; this is not the official KLCI constituent list. Stocks whose price history shows a one-day move over 45% (usually an unadjusted corporate action or bad data) are left out automatically.Data notice: price data comes from Yahoo Finance and is shown for non-commercial, educational use only. Volatility is the annualised standard deviation of daily returns. Beta is the slope of daily returns on the KLCI. Max DD is the largest fall from a peak over one year. RSI is the 14-day Wilder relative strength index. Trend: "Up" when price is above a rising 50-day average that is above the 200-day, "Down" for the reverse, otherwise "Mixed".A GitHub Actions job refreshes the full history after Bursa closes each weekday, and a second job takes three snapshots of the latest prices while the market is open (about 10:35 am, 12:35 pm and 3:35 pm Malaysia time).
